TRUE CREDENTIALS

The questions I asked:

1. What qualifies you to be determining who is qualified to do equine massage?

2. What qualifies you to set National Standards?

3. Who decides on what questions need to be on your test, are they traditional, unrelated, useless in real world experiences, and typical textbook theory?

4. What are YOUR PERSONAL qualifications, you know, things like, your career experiences, have you ever been a success in this field in real life, or are you simply looking for a retirement income? Or perhaps you want to be like the AMTA, and don't see a problem with extracting money from people by regulating, regulating, regulating? Or perhaps you foolishly think the Veterinary profession will be impressed that you have made mandatory the many hours of required education at your prescribed schools, which will never end. Like the AMTA, the requirements never end, they are never satisfied, always pushing for more, more, more, and making it very difficult for the massage industry to make a living! Is this your purpose?

5. What qualifies you to be setting the National Standard, or any other standard that will dictate what a person or persons must do?

6. WHY DO WE NEED REGULATING OF A FIELD THAS DOES NO HARM TO ANMALS OR HUMANS. This is a great question, since the risk is to the person, not the horse. If the big fellah is not happy with you, oh, oh, get out of the barn ...QUICK!

MY EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

I find it interesting when I think of the many I have met over the years with impressive “Degrees”, yet were not able to make it in that field of education. We all know this story. Some are washing dishes, waiting tables, working in grocery stores, etc. That is a lot of time and money spent on a paper they haven't earned, but rather acquired because of good memorization skills, or other means. Which has the greater value, the paper, or the accomplishments? For this answer, one does not need a degree.

WHAT ARE MY CREDENTIALS...AND THEIR VALUE TO OTHERS?

First and foremost, my accomplishments establish my value to the fitness and equine world, as well as my benefit to others. (See Letters of Endorsements).

Secondly, I have a Doctorate from Shepperton University in London Based Upon Original Research In The Field Of Holistic Studies. SUM CUM LAUDE. I also have a M A in Business Administration.

As I have said, all the paper in the world with every letter in the alphabet after ones name, simply means NOTHING, without ACCOMPLISHMENTS to back it up!!!

MY MOST MEANINGFUL AWARD...OR REWARD

My most meaningful award is based on my accomplishments, and it comes from the Shiatsu Massage School Of California in Santa Monica CA, which I am a graduate of. This award was presented to the top ten (10) students in the history of the school. Over 2,000 very lucky students have had the honor of being taught by Dr DoAnn T .Kaneko, L.A.c OMD, Ph.D.

What makes this award so special to me is out of the top Ten (10) students of the 2000 graduates, I HAD ACCOMPLISHED THE MOST! This is not to say I was the best, it simply means I had achieved more in life with my education than all of the others. The Award is as follows.

The best part about this award, it has the signature and official seal of a very honorable man affixed to it, a man who is respected because of his accomplishments and because of his nationality. The Japanese people have been known for their integrity, and honor for many years.

As a side note, the last time I was in Kaneko's home, he looked at me and warmly said, Geary, you are SENSE (I hope I spelled this correct) which means TEACHER.

When your teacher brings you up to his level, there is no greater honor, and, NO GREATER FEELING OF RESPECT ...those will always be the greatest credentials a man or woman will ever need, and MY MOST MEANINGFUL AWARD... or reward.
