IN CONCLUSION

I first started massaging horses before I knew there were schools for this. I did go to one of the five-day programs, only to become very confused and worried.

The worry came when on the first day we were told, “IF YOU DON'T PASS THE TEST YOU WILL NOT GRADUATE”. I have never been good at test taking, so I was concerned I was going to waste my hard earned money on a program I was going to fail, and go back to California broke.

I want to take this opportunity to thank some one very special for helping me get through the program, her name is Lisa, and if she reads this she will smile and say ...I told him he would probably accomplish more than any of the rest of us. I received my certificate and fought to hold back tears, I still get tears in my eyes just thinking of what I had accomplished, the only problem was ...I was so confused while in school because of how the program was presented and was clueless on Friday as to what to do when we were to do our hands on test.

Lisa prompted me as what to do and how to do it. I had mentally checked out on Thursday as I stood there thinking while watching one of the students do a massage on a section of the horse, “what is this student working on the horse doing, I don't have clue what she is doing.” I was BRAIN DEAD from memorizing useless anatomy, which is never used in real life. I then started to count all the clouds in the sky, which is interesting, as there were none to be seen, but I was still counting them. When I returned home I could not massage a horse they way they were trying to teach me.

With 3x5 cards taped on the horses I still had problems, I could not read my handwriting. So, I removed the cards and went back to the way I done things before going to school.

I will not mention which school it was, because they have produced successful students, of which I was not one. However I am grateful to that program because it showed me how not to do a program. Although I did not realize it in the beginning, eventually over time I would develop what was to become the first and only program if it's kind for horse and human.

My friends said things such as “your going to do what to a horse” or “who would go to a school like that”? I saw the need and I saw the dream, and I was qualified, why not. I do have a history of thinking out side of the box, and doing what I want to do, even when I was a little tyke. My mother has mentioned many times how focused I was on getting what I wanted, and always in search of something, my father was confused as to how I made those foolish and impossible ideas a reality. This confusion actually alienated us, as he did not understand how to relate to me. I am sad today to think I did not understand this, and missed out on being taught many wonderful things only a father can teach. But the Gift I left him was that of bringing honor to the family name. As for my mother, I had dedicated my school to her, many years before she died, and I was there with her, holding her as she passed. That is as it should be, and I will forever be thankful for that moment of honoring her.

From dreamer, to moving in the direction of those dreams to making them happen. This concept is the foundational thrust of my program. What ever you can imagine you can make happen if you apply the laws necessary to make it so. My school teaches The “7” Laws Of Success, along with, “7 Laws of Radiant Health,” as taught to me by Herbert W Armstrong.

In looking at my program you will see, there is nothing like it out there. There is no other program I know of that covers both horse and human. Many of my graduates are very happy I covered the needs of the human; physically, emotionally, spiritually. IT IS NOT ABOUT THE HORSE!!! My motto, Recapture True Values.

BOTTOM LINE IS ...A Certification or College Degree is only a piece of paper, with words on it. What one accomplishes in life puts substance and meaning to those words, and makes them honorable. Perhaps what we should have done is hand out the degree unsigned upon graduation, five years later when the person has actually achieved the intent of the Degree, have it officially signed, thus giving Real Meaning to the Degree. What a concept, being able to prove you are what you say you are.

Happy Trails
